Julie Smith serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Meridian Bioscience, where she leads global financial strategy, planning, and reporting. With more than 20 years at Meridian, Julie has been instrumental in driving financial performance, supporting strategic growth initiatives, and ensuring transparency across the organization.

Throughout her tenure, Julie has held key leadership roles, including Vice President of Finance and Senior Vice President, Controller, and Principal Accounting Officer. Her deep institutional knowledge and steady leadership have strengthened Meridian’s financial foundation and aligned finance operations with long-term strategic priorities.

Julie’s leadership philosophy emphasizes integrity, collaboration, and disciplined execution. She is recognized for translating complex financial data into actionable insights and fostering cross-functional partnerships that advance organizational success.

Before joining Meridian, Julie built her expertise in audit, consulting, and nonprofit management. She began her career at PwC as an Audit Manager and later specialized in controllership and finance consulting, focusing on internal controls, Sarbanes-Oxley implementation, and audit readiness.

Julie holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and an MBA from the University of Dayton. She continues to guide Meridian’s finance organization with a focus on sustainable growth, operational excellence, and long-term value creation.
